University of Minnesota Duluth

Both art and science seek to understand and describe the world we live in. The scientist’s laboratory and artist’s studio are places of open-ended inquiry and a search for truth that rarely proceeds in a straight line. The design of these four painted art glass windows, entitled Molecule, is inspired by the research unfolding in the Heikkila Chemistry & Advanced Materials Science Building. The north-facing windows are designed with a yellow and amber color palette infusing the interior space with warmth and energy.
